Freelance Production Artist | Jan 2010 – Present | Various Clients

I currently manage special projects, ongoing campaigns, and overflow work for a variety of clients including production keylines, illustration, design and retouching.

Production Artist | 2007 – 2010 | Moosylvania Marketing

Responsible for creating accurate mechanicals for a variety of  printer specifications – checking color, size, folds, resolution of photos, trim marks, spelling, consistency of layout, confirming postal requirements, proper font usage, check bleeds and retouching of photos. Completed typography, text flow, photo placement, photo retouching, illustration and mockups as needed. Responsible for preflight and quality control of print ads, brochures, packaging and other collateral print materials. Created die lines, spot colors, opaque white under colors, and touch plates. Collaborated closely with art directors, creative directors and account executives on a Macintosh platform to complete projects in a timely fashion while meeting budget estimates to make the department the most profitable in the company.

Production Studio Manager | November 2003 – December 2006 | Woodruff Sweitzer

Responsible for day-to-day operation of Production Studio including overseeing Production Artists, and interfacing with Production, Traffic and Creative on all scheduling. Discuss final art with assigned Art Director/Creative Director for each project. Coordinate all aspects of final art including purchasing images, preflighting, spellcheck, final mock-ups and specs for printing. Discuss outside production elements required for job with various vendors.

Assistant Manager of Technology | January 1998 – November 2003 | Kinko’s, Inc.

Responsible for managing Computer Services department while simultaneously performing Assistant Manager-Operations duties. Specific duties include maintaining profitability of Computer Services department, final decisions on design work based on feasibility, consulting with Sales Team, upkeep and installation of software, hardware and network, training of new technology in the department, and interviewing of new Computer Services Co-Workers.
